Nizar Qabbani – I Love You, and the Rest is to Come – First Edition 1978

A rare first edition of this collection of love poems by the Syrian writer Nizar Qabbani.

One of his best-loved selections of verse, it was published in 1978 in Beirut by Nizar Qabbani Publishing.

First printings of Qabbani’s work are increasingly difficult to find, particularly in good condition.

Softback, with numerous black-and-white sketches by the author throughout. 174 pages. In fair condition. Externally, wear and bumps to corners. Some creasing and wear to spine, but binding firm and square. A previous owner’s gift inscription in blue pen to the title page, and occasional spotting inside.
