A hard-to-find photographic profile of the UAE, published in 1977, offering a visual history of the country soon after its formation.

With hundreds of rare colour photographs from the period, showing many aspects of life including economic development, agriculture, tourism, dress and jewellery, society, landscapes and more.

The book was commissioned by the Abu Dhabi authorities as a record of the first five years of the country’s establishment in December 1971.
