Published in the middle of the Second World War, when Palestine was still under the British Mandate and faced the threat of possible invasion from Rommel’s German army in North Africa.

With descriptions, background and B&W photos of most major historical and religious sites and areas, including Beersheba, Gaza, Dead Sea, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Jericho.

Also contains original ads for shops, banks, hotels, cafes and restaurants.

Softback, 210 pages. Some spotting and marks to cover but otherwise very well-preserved. Clean inside with no writing, stamps or other marks. Binding firm.
