The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam – 1937 – Willy Pogany

An attractive and unusually well-preserved pocket-sized edition of the Rubaiyat, published by Harrap in the mid-1930s.

One of several versions that were Illustrated and decorated by Hungarian artist Willy Pogany (1882-1955), with tipped-in colour illustrations. Leather-bound, with a decorative patterned cover and gilt lettering to spine.

Sized 9cm x 13cm. In very good condition. Contemporary gift inscription dated 1937 to front free endpaper, otherwise clean and bright.
