A late 19th-century work of history and travel on the wider Palestine area, published in 1893, also covering parts of modern day Syria and Jordan.

With 150 black and white wood engravings and several full-colour plates.

Hardback, bound in decorative cloth. Very good condition. Fading to boards and titles, and some bumping to corners. Some spotting and tanning to contents. Contemporary gift inscription.
