Ronald Codrai – Abu Dhabi: An Arabian Album – 1992 First Edition

A first edition of this wonderful collection of photographs of Abu Dhabi, from the archives of Ronald Codrai.

Most are from the mid-20th century and offer a glimpse into the Emirate as it was before its rapid development in the late 20th century.

Codrai worked for an oil company, exploring in remote areas of the south-east Arabian Peninsula and gaining unique access to local communities, landscapes and figures.

First edition, first impression, published in 1992 by Motivate in Dubai.  Hardback. Increasingly rare in this original printing. In very good condition, some edgewear to jacket. Clean inside with no writing.
