Palace of Desire – Original Movie Poster – 1966

An original lithographic poster for the 1966 Egyptian movie Palace of Desire (Qasr El Shouq), based on the book by Naguib Mahfouz.

Directed by Hassan El-Imam, this was the second part of Mahfouz’s Cairo Trilogy of books, coming after Palace Walk. 

Artwork by Mohamed Ragheb, a prominent Egyptian poster artist of the period. Printed at Al Nasr Press in Cairo using stone lithography.

Sized 70cm x 100cm. In very good condition. Folded.
