Published in 1921, using the translation by Constance Garnett, who translated many major pieces of Russian literature for the first time. Comprises The Two Friends, Father Alexey’s Story, Three Meetings, and A Quiet Backwater.

Bound in green cloth with embossed titles and motif to front board, gilt lettering to spine. No jacket. In good condition, a few minor blotches externally and some rubbing. No writing inside. Hardback, published by William Heinemann in London.
