Gerald de Gaury – Arabia Phoenix – 1947


Subtitled “An Account of a Visit to Ibn Saud, Chieftain of the Austere Wahhabis and Powerful Arabian King”.

The author was British Political Agent in Kuwait in the 1930s, and wrote several books on the region. Arabia Phoenix describes Riyadh in the mid-1940s and Ibn Saud.
