A first paperback edition of the autobiography of fashion designer Christian Dior, written and published in 1956, just a year before his unexpected death.

Dior founded his eponymous fashion house in Paris after the Second World War, introducing the ‘New Look’ collection. He died of a heart attack while on holiday in Italy in 1957.

This is the first printing of the first paperback edition, by Penguin, in 1958, translated into English from the original French.

In very good condition indeed, with no major folds or creases to boards or spine. Slight spotting externally. Clean inside, binding tight and square. Now hard to find in good condition.
