[SOLD] Tintin – Coke en Stock – 1958 First Edition

Called ‘The Red Sea Sharks’ in the English translation, this is the 19th instalment in the Tintin adventures by Belgian cartoonist HergĂ©.

It was serialised between 1956 and 1958 before being released in a single volume.

The story sees Tintin, his dog Snowy and Captain Haddock travel to the fictional Middle East kingdom of Khemed, which featured in earlier Tintin books. The plot also sees the return of his nemesis Rastapopoulos.

Published by Casterman in 1958. This is the rarer Belgian (as opposed to the French) first edition of the book.

In very good condition. Clean inside with no writing, marks or previous owner’s names. No foxing or spotting. Slight splitting to the binding at the top and bottom of the spine, but the book remains solidly bound.
