Thomas Russell Pasha – Egyptian Service – 1949

A fascinating memoir by a British officer who served in a senior position in the Egyptian police services in the 1920s and 1930s, focussed on the narcotics bureau.

He became a prominent anti-drugs campaigner and was involved in efforts to combat the large quantities of narcotics being smuggled into Egypt at the time, authoring a well-known paper on the subject.
