A charming collection of children’s stories, comprising The Magic Walking Stick by John Buchan, plus selected tales from the Arabian Nights such as Sindbad, the Magic Horse, and The Fisherman and the Genie.
This was Buchan’s only novel for children. The author remains best-known for his classic adventure story, The Thirty-Nine Steps.
With full-page colour illustrations by Monro S. Orr, who illustrated various children’s editions of the Arabian Nights from the period.
Hardback, bound in pictorial blue cloth. Published in the early 1930s by Associated Newspapers in London. In very good condition indeed. Bright and crisp externally, clean inside with no writing.
