A rare first Arabic edition of this stunning collection of photographs of the Emirates from the first half of the 20th century.

Covering the period from 1900 to 1962, it features hundreds of images, many of which were published here for the first time.

They depict various aspects of the country, including architecture, daily life, key buildings, landscapes and more, showing the remarkable transformation that took place.

With accompanying text descriptions and analysis by William Facey and Gillian Grant.
