The Book of a Thousand Nights and One – Folio Society – 1958

An attractive four-volume set of the Arabian Nights stories, also known as the Thousand and One Nights, published by the Folio Society in London in 1958.

This is the first printing of the Folio Society edition, which was reissued again later in 1973.

With numerous full-page woodcut illustrations by Eric Fraser and Frank Martin, text translated from the French by J.C. Mardrus and Powys Mathers.

All hardbacks, bound in quarter cream vellum with red illustrated boards with red top edge. Approximately 2,500 pages total. In very good condition, some minor wear externally and slight fading to top edges. Clean inside with no writing or marking.
