A lovely and unusual two-volume set of the Arabian Nights, or the Thousand and One Nights, published in 1813.

Bound in full calf with a decorative gilt border to the front and rear boards, raised bands to the spine with gilt lettering and six compartments.

Features dozens of tales, including Aladdin, Sindbad the Sailor, Ali Baba and many more.

Published by James Goodwin in London in 1813. In very good condition. Externally some rubbing to spine and edges, with a few occasional marks to boards. Bookplates to front endpaper of both volumes. Front free endpaper of Volume I is partially detached. Bindings tight and square. Some spotting and foxing. No writing or inscriptions.
