[SOLD] Samuel Coleridge – Poetical Works – 1880s

A very attractive and decoratively-bound collection of verse by the English poet Samuel Coleridge (1772-1834), published in the 1880s.

Coleridge was a key figure in the Romantic Movement of the period, along with Wordsworth, and is best-known for his 1798 work The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

This volume contains dozens of his poems, with an introduction and notes.

Published by Routledge in London, part of its Excelsior Series of books. Hardback, bound in red pictorial cloth. 420 pages. In very good condition, mild fading externally. Neat contemporary owner’s inscription dated 1886.
