Peter Vine – The Island of Sir Bani Yas

A limited-edition profile of the island of Sir Bani Yas, in the western area of Abu Dhabi emirate, profiling its unique landscapes and wildlife.

Sir Bani Yas is the largest natural island in the UAE, and is home to a large-scale animal reserve and luxury resort. It also has numerous significant archaeological remains from the pre-Islamic period.

This book was commissioned in the late 1990s by the Abu Dhabi authorities, and is now difficult to find.

Text in English and Arabic, with hundreds of contemporary colour photographs from the island.
