[SOLD] Nazik Al-Malaika – The Poetry of Ali Mohamed Taha – Signed

A signed collection of essays by the renowned Iraqi poet on the work of the Egyptian poet  Ali Mahmoud Taha (1901-1949).

Al-Malaika (1923-2007) was known as being one of the first poets in Arabic to use free verse.

The book includes an attached letter by Al-Malaika remarking on proofing errors in this edition of the book.

Published in Cairo in 1965. In fair condition. Paperback with card wrapper. Spine has missing areas to extremities, and is faded and creased, but binding remains firm. Some staining and spotting to edges of boards. Clean inside except for the author’s inscription and letter.

This book is a collection of lectures by Nazek Al-Malaika about the poetry of Ali Mahmud Taha, with a letter from her showing that the book cntain some mistaked from the reviewer of the publishing house. The book dedicated from Nazek Al-Malaika towards her friend the novelist Omar Al-Shaabi 1972
