[SOLD] Naguib Mahfouz – Cairo Trilogy – First English-Language Edition Set

A set of three first English-language editions of the renowned Cairo Trilogy by the Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz, comprising Palace Walk, Palace of Desire, and Sugar Street.

Published by Doubleday in New York in 1990, 1991 and 1992 respectively. These were the first-ever published English versions of the books, released shortly after Mahfouz won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1988, and were originally authored in the 1950s.

All hardback, first printings, with original jackets with earth-toned designs. In very good condition. Some minor edgewear and creasing. All clean inside with no writing, marking or bookplates.
