Split into three sections on each city, with text on historical periods, architecture, key landmarks and other aspects of life. Includes 58 watercolour illustrations by Reginald Barratt, Walter S.S. Tyrwhitt and P.B. Whelpley.

Hardback, published by Chatto & Windus in London in 1907. First edition. Bound in green cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine, plus decorative motif to front board. Gilt upper text block. In very good condition, some bumps to corners and fading to spine and edge of rear board. Neat contemporary owner’s inscription to front free endpaper. Binding tight and square.
