[SOLD] Krokodil Magazine – крокодил – 1937 issue

A rare original issue of the satirical Soviet magazine, крокодил (Crocodile) which was published weekly in Moscow from 1921 until the dissolution of the USSR.

This is Issue 4 from February 1937, with the front cover showing a classic anti-Trotskyist cartoon. It depicts a Nazi figure carrying a dog with a caricatured face of the exiled Trotsky, supported underneath by Radek, Pyatakov, Serebryakov and Sokolnikov, former senior Bolshevik figures who would all be killed in the Stalinist purges of the late 1930s.

In fragile condition, with quite a weak binding and wear to edges with some chips and missing areas. Clean with no writing inside.
