John Hersey’s acclaimed account of six survivors from the August 1945 atomic bomb detonation in Hiroshima.

First appeared as an extended journalistic essay in the New Yorker magazine in August 1946, before later appearing in book form. It has never been out of print since, and sold more than three million copies.

This is the first Penguin paperback edition of the book, published in November 1946. In very good condition; some spotting and tanning to front and rear boards. Clean inside with no writing. Binding tight and square.
