The tales were assembled by his son Christopher, and published posthumously in 1977.
The first edition features a colour pull-out map of Beleriand, drawn by Christopher Tolkien.
Hardback. Published by George Allen and Unwin in London, 1977. In very good condition. Original unclipped dust jacket. Very minor edgewear, small closed tear to top of jacket front. Clean inside with no writing. Binding tight and square.
