On the instructions of Sheikh Zayed, a survey was commissioned under the newly-formed Abu Dhabi Islands Archaeological Survey (ADIAS) to research the Sir Bani Yas, Dalma and Marawah offshore islands.

The results yielded several unexpected and significant discoveries, detailed here in full, along with maps, images, diagrams and full technical information on the sites.
