Engraved map of Qatar – 1970s

An unusual metal map of Qatar, likely dating from the mid-to-late 1970s, showing key towns and places in the country.

Engraved on a metal sheet of 29cm x 19cm, which is mounted on a cloth board framed in brown wood. Overall size 35cm x 25cm.

Designed and made by the Wendron Forge in Cornwall, England. No date mentioned, but format of the UK contact telephone number suggests mid-late-1970s.
