A lovely example of this illustrated collection of Fairy Tales, taken from the various countries allied together in the First World War, published in 1916.

With 15 mounted plates by the French artist Edmund Dulac, who famously illustrated a number of different fairy tales and fables in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Includes an original slip from Ernest Brown & Phillips in London, advertising sales of original Dulac watercolour drawings.

Hardback, published by Hodder & Stoughton. Undated, but 1916. Bound in the original decorative cloth with horse and star designs to the front board and spine. Decorative endpapers.  170 pages.

In very good condition indeed. Some minor wear to corners and extremities of spine. Clean inside with no writing or bookplates.
