Lebanese-American writer Rihani’s classic account of his travels around the Gulf and the Hijaz in the late 1920s.
Rihani (1876-1940) was a contemporary of several other prominent Lebanese-born writers who settled in the US, including Khalil Gibran and Mikhail Naimy. He was a highly influential traveller, author, translator and public figure who wrote in both English and Arabic.
First published in London in 1930. This is a first edition of the hardback released in 1983, by Caravan, printed in Beirut.
In near-fine condition with original dust jacket and no inscriptions or markings.
