William Boyd – A Good Man in Africa – First Edition 1981 – SIGNED

AED4,375

Winner of the Whitbread Book award and the Somerset Maugham Award, William Boyd’s first novel is a humorous dive into the life of a British High Commission Secretary in the fictional African country of Kinjanja.

Following the exploits of Morgan Leafy, the novel was first adapted for radio in 1985, then, nearly a decade later, into a film of the same name starring Colin Friels and Sean Connery.  While the film was a box-office flop, the novel remains popular among fans of Evelyn Waugh and Kingsley Amis.
