First UK edition of Nabokov’s controversial novel. Second impression, printed in London in 1959 by Weidenfeld & Nicholson, the same year as the first impression.

Hardback, with original dust jacket, in very good condition overall. Clean inside with no writing. Dust jacket is not price clipped and unusually intact for this title, without notable rips or tears.

The very first copies of the book were printed in two softcover volumes in Paris in 1955, and then banned by the French government a year later.
