A lovely piece of educational history from Victorian England, this little volume contains a series of callisthenic exercises set to music, including swimming, skipping and marching.

Written by Alexander Alexander, the Director of the Liverpool Gymnasium, who penned a series of exercise books for children from the 1860s onwards.

Condition is good but with some marks to cover and crinkling of pages. Previous owner name written in pencil, with some hand-written notes on piano notation.
