Andrée Chedid – The Sixth Day – First English edition


Set in Cairo during the 1940s cholera epidemic, this novel by French-Egyptian author Chedid was later made into a film starring Dalida and Mohamed Mounir.

Chedi, also a renowned poet, was awarded the title of Grand Officer of the French Legion of Honour in 2009.

In fine condition, hardback, with original dust wrapper. Published by Anthony Blond in 1962. Translated from the French original.
