The first Pan paperback edition of Agatha Christie’s detective novel, set mostly in Iraq and featuring Hercule Poirot.

This edition of the book, published in 1952, has an attractive cover design showing the key characters, plus a country outline of Iraq.

The book was first published in 1936 and was written while the author was travelling in Iraq with her archaeologist husband, Max Mallowan.
